The Spring outdoor leagues page shows the summer Impact Team Tennis leagues that are being offered by WATA for the outdoor session located in Rockville, MD, and Washington, DC
What is Impact Team Tennis?
Impact Team Tennis is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men’s and women’s doubles followed by men’s and women’s singles, ending with 2 sets of mixed doubles. Total games won from all sets determines the winner. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match.
What is an Impact Team Tennis team?
Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. A minimum team consists of two men and two women.
Who can play?
Adults (18 & over) may sign up as a team or as an individual.
Levels of play offered are:
- 3.0 and under
- 3.5 and under
- 4.0 and under
- 4.5 and under
We are also offering a Corporate, Not-For-Profit and Government League

For those players who do not have a wtn here are some stpep by step instructions.
You can follow these steps or call me:
1. Go to https://play.watatennis.org/
2. Sign Up to Create an Account
3. Put in Email and Password (use gmail if you have one) then select “Sign Up”
4. You will see a green rectangle that says check email to verify (****see below)
5. Check your email and select verify account.
6. Complete Profile information-check USTA Box
7. You will see a green rectangle that says “good to go”.
8. Go up to your initials in the orange circle and select My Profile
9. Go to bottom right and enter your USTA Account Number-Do NOT buy a membership!
10. Then go to “All Leagues” in upper left and go to your ITT league/event and Sign Up
